Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to pay extra for the equipment/backdrops?

Most studios charge extra for equipment, but we don’t. All studio lights are included in the studio hire price. You can also use our canvas hand-painted backdrops free of charge.
We only charge £10 per paper backdrop used on the floor (£10 if you pay online in advance and £13 if you pay in the studio) because we need to cut them after your shoot. Please consider paying for paper backdrops in advance to save time and money. You can pay via this link: https://plphotostudio.co.uk/product/paper-backdrops/ (please include your booking number in the comments section if you already have a booking).

How to find you?

The nearest tube station is Westbourne Park, about a 15-minute walk away. Look for the “Buspace” sign on the brick building on Conlan Street. Dial 126 on the intercom when you arrive. The studio is on the first floor.

Will someone meet me or be there?

A studio assistant will meet you or your clients and assist with setting up backdrops and equipment. Typically, someone will remain in the studio in a separate assistant area to be available in case you need additional help.

I’ve never worked with studio equipment before.

Our studio assistants are happy to show you how to connect your camera to our studio lights. They will also help with basic equipment setup. Please consider booking extra time if you need to practice before your shoot.

We also run a photography school where you can learn about using studio equipment.
